Construction

CONSTRUCTION
The Construction industry has long fueled personal, public and business dreams, employing millions of people and utilizing a growing amount of plastics to reduce costs, expedite construction and create construction possibilities. Construction applications include lighting, glazing, flooring, railing, plumbing, wall covering and a variety of other uses.
Advantages of plastics
The advantages of plastics in the construction industry are numerous. Plastics are much lighter than wood, metal and glass that equate into better fuel economy and cheaper to manufacture parts. Additionally, the lighter weight aids in safer material handling. Plastics can be designed to be impact and dent resistant, and modified for improved strength. Since color is part of a molded piece, no secondary painting operations are necessary. Plastics can also provide greater weather resistant characteristics. Special additives to plastics may be added to combat failure due to high exposure to UV.
Materials Utilized Within Industry
Materials utilized in the construction industry include Acrylic, HDPE, KYDEX, Polycarbonate, Multi Wall Polycarbonate, Acrylic Mirror and FRP Panels
